Temporary Easter cross for St Michael’s Church Paris (2018)

Revd. Jonathan CLARKE, whose household I had been charged with welcoming in a practical manner (having surveyed the presbytery and prepared the premises for their arrival), began to see in me a purveyor of useful services of which the church might make good use. Even going so far as to propose me a part-time contract. Which naturally fell foul of accountant objections.
He subsequently asked me to imagine how an impressively tall removable cross might be devised and installed whenever events called for concealing the conventional, polished, back-lit fixture. He also wished people to be able to relate physically to the Crucifixion by pinning things, or hammering nails into it.
I gave him the original, having scanned the document beforehand. Still waiting for an expression of interest.
