ENG : The kind of photography in which I indulged as an adolescent, and continue to, only has professional or artistic intentions inasmuch as providing a tool of remediation, somewhat antithetic to the cult of photography as perpetuated by photo-practitioners, their agents and a certain public, whose object is the stand-alone icon. My photos are simply more or less cack-handed records of what I have observed in a fast-changing world. They may therefore have some historiographical value to research, particularly concerning environments and architecture that have disappeared. However, they also share the same view point from which stem my concerns in art & design, and are therefore complementary. Some some very basic post-production skills of otherwise mediocre shots come in handy, notably to illustrate others’ articles. Remediation is decidedly what it is all about.

FR : Le genre de photographie que je pratiquais adolescent, et continue, n’ a de visées professionnelles que ès qualité outil de re-médiation, antithétique au culte de la photographie des praticiens, de leurs agents et d’ un certain public, dont l’ objet est l’ icône qui suffit à elle-même. Mes photos sont plutôt des appoints plus ou moins maladroits de ce que j’ ai observé dans un monde en pleine mutation. En matière historiographique de recherche elles vaudront peut-être un jour, notamment concernant des environnements et architectures disparus. Elles partagent le même regard, dont dérivent mes préoccupations en matière d’ art et de projets. Quelques notions basiques en post-production d’ images autrement médiocres sont utiles, notamment quand il s’ agit d’ illustrer les ouvrages d’ autrui. Décidément, la re-médiation est au coeur du sujet.

IT : Il genere di fotografia che praticavo adolescente, e perpetuo, non avrebbe altre applicazioni professionali che in qualità di utensile di de rimediazione, antitetico al culto della fotografia dei praticanti, dei loro agenti e di un certo pubblico, cui l’ oggetto è l’ icona autosufficiente. Le mie foto sono piuttosto degli appunti più o meno maldestri di ciò che ho osservato in un mondo in piena mutazione. In materia di ricerca storiografica, forse varranno un giorno, specie a soggetto degli ambienti e architetture spariti. Condividono, invece, lo stesso sguardo da dove derivano le mie preoccupazioni in materia di arte e progettazione, e sono dunque complementari. Qualche nozione basica in post-produzione di imagine altrimenti mediocri sono utili, in particolare quando si tratta di illustrare le opere altrui. Decisamente, la rimediazione è al cuore della faccenda.
