Architecture & planning

Projects in collaboration and / or signed in my own name.

Registered as architect with professional regulators (France since May 1989, UK since November 2001) my career as draughtsman & designer began in 1979 as assistant to Milanese architects Aldo ROSSI & Gianni BRAGHIERI.

Coercive enforcement of industry-driven CPD (Continuous Professional Decline) prompts my long-intended withdrawal from Tableau de l’ Ordre des Architectes, as of 17th December 2021.

Background to this decision : the liberal professions are no longer free to act or prescribe according to their informed conscience but expected to buckle under & deliver noxious partisan policies determined by manipulable & corrupt third parties. Such abdication of duty is neither what we trained for, nor what I sign up to.

Frühlingserwachen after 42 years of resisting the stupidity of officialdom.

Sitework for my own projects

Surveys, measured & analytical (excl. design)

Works denatured by building owners

The denaturing of a coherent design project is almost inevitable when the building owner undertakes partial contract administration, either for economic reasons, or to obtain a result different to that authorised.

Clients beware : breaching contracts (including France’s tacit contrat de louage d’ ouvrage) may carry insurance consequences regarding the executed work itself and cover of its technical design.

Works executed without site involvement

Following grant of planning permission, details frequently modified by building owners during execution.
