ENG : I briefly worked part-time for Melanie in Kensal on Tom C.’s apartment in Pimlico, simultaneously teaching at Kingston Polytechnic School of Architecture. A former student of mine, who filled the vacancy when I stopped (to work on Donnington Holt) later reported her complaint that I drew too much. My impression was that I had nudged serious improvements (requiring further drawing) to lesser resolved parts of the scheme. Like the access to the roof terrace I detailed (photo take during a building site visit, months later). Small world : decades later I would end up working with her QS, Colin MORRIS, on behalf of Li.Ter.
